We had a very good turnout for the trip. In total we had 47 participants including Wildlife Explorer members as well as Mums, Dads, brothers, sisters,  friends, and Grandparents.

It was a beautiful day. We saw some special birds, like goldcrest and woodlark,  greater spotted woodpecker as well as many tits, blackbirds, buzzards and thrushes. The stonechats also showed well.

But we were a very big group and this meant that many birds hid away and waited for us to pass. So our bird list was very small.

We hope you all enjoyed your walk in the New Forest on a fine spring day and will remember, at least, the woodlarks having a dust bath in the middle of the track.
