BIRD LIST

Text Box: Fallow Deer, Bees nest and  Devils Coach Horse beetle  were other highlights.

26 bird species were seen and identified. We also saw fallow  deer, a very busy bees nest, hawking dragon flies and a Devils Coach Horse beetle.

We had a relatively large group of youngsters (and their Mums and Dads) attending, so we split into two groups and followed two different trails.

Mike and Derek had walked the trails earlier in the morning  to mark the routes and pin up some marker points. When  we went round in the groups later we had a list of questions that had to be answered at each one of the marker points.

We all had fun answering the questions, keeping our eyes open for deer and birds as well as having a good walk in beautiful scenery.
