It was a small turnout, but a good group to wander through the paths surrounding Testwood Lakes.

The sun was up and there was a gentle breeze. Those of us who are hay-fever sufferers had an itching time—how many birds did we scare with our sneezing!

For me the highlight of the day were the sand martins darting backwards and forwards to their nests in the bank.

The very well camouflaged Little Ringed Plover kept us occupied trying to locate it (them).

The Common Sandpiper was a good spot by Lesley and the Whitethroat performed very well for us.
