A great turn out at Baddesley Common/Emer Bog : 17 WEX, 2 Phoenix members and 15 leaders/adults.

The day was dry to the end; the explorers enjoyed the mud!. A Green Woodpecker flew in front of the group; later a pair of Stonechat entertained the group. The splendid male in breeding plumage.

Overhead up to 8 Buzzards were seen soaring, also Kestrel and male Sparrowhawk were seen. Skylarks gave close views and at Emer Bog 3 snipe were seen flying. Rachael Ellison found a very small Slow worm allowing the  group to see it at close range.
